Uploading a document to DocuSign can take as long as it takes you to complete the various steps that are required. Depending on the type of document and the associated settings, you may need to upload the document, add recipients, set authentication and signing options, preview and save the document, and then send it for signature. All of these steps can take time and can vary in length depending on how much information and settings you need to go through. Once the document has been sent for signature, the recipient will have to sign the document, again based on the associated settings. This could also take time, depending on how soon the recipient can view and sign the document.
1. Go to the DocuSign website and log in with your account credentials.
2. Select the envelope icon on the left navigation menu to create an envelope.
3. Select “Upload” either on the top or left navigation menu.
4. Select the file you want to upload from your computer.
5. Once you have chosen the file you want to upload, click “Upload”.
6. DocuSign will then prompt you to fill in the information to create the envelope, such as signer name, document title, etc.
7. Select “Continue” to finish uploading and creating the envelope.

You can edit the document before it is sent out for signatures. To edit the document, simply go to the Documents tab in DocuSign and click on the name of the document. Then, click on the More Actions menu and select the Edit option to make any needed changes. Once the changes are complete, you can save the document and it will be ready to send out.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to upload a document directly to Docusign for the purpose of preserving historical places. Docusign is an electronic signature service and does not provide any storage or preservation services related to historical sites. You can however use Docusign to sign agreements related to securing the preservation or funding of historical sites.
