The San Carlos Park district is located in southwest Florida and covers an area of approximately 34 square miles. It runs along the coast of Manatee County, encompassing the beautiful beaches of Bradenton, Holmes Beach, Longboat Key, and Palmetto. The park district’s mission is to preserve and promote the health, safety, and recreational opportunities of the community while protecting ecological and historic resources.

San Carlos Park is an unincorporated community located in Lee County, Florida, United States. It is a part of the Cape Coral-Fort Myers Metropolitan Statistical Area. San Carlos Park is located in south-central Lee County, seven miles south of Fort Myers. The community does not have a designated district and does not have an official government; however, it does have an active neighborhood association, the San Carlos Park Civic Association, which works to improve the community and watch out for the interests of the area’s residents. The association works with the county, who provides parks and recreation services, as well as road maintenance, fire and emergency services, and other county services.
You can get to San Carlos Park by car, bus, or taxi. If you’re driving, take I-75 or US-41 to Daniels Parkway and head west until you reach San Carlos Boulevard. 1. San Carlos Park Community Clubhouse: Originally constructed in 1925, this historic site is one of the earliest structures in the San Carlos Park district. The clubhouse is a classic example of Mediterranean Revival architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
2. San Carlos Park Pioneer Museum: This museum was founded in the early 1940s and tells the story of the San Carlos Park and its early settlers. It includes a collection of original artifacts and photographs from the days of settlement.
3. San Carlos Park Baptist Church: This church was built in 1932 and is an excellent example of the Mediterranean Revival style of architecture popular in the early part of the 20th century in Southwest Florida. The church has been designated a historical landmark by the Lee County Historic Preservation Board.
4. San Carlos Park & Rec Center: This 20,000 square-foot facility was built in 1998 and offers a wide range of recreational activities including swimming, sports, and exercise classes. The center also features a facility dedicated to special needs programs and activities.
5. San Carlos Performing Arts Center: This center was built in 2004 and is home to a variety of cultural, educational, and entertainment programming. It includes a 500-seat theater, a variety of classrooms and rehearsal spaces, and a multipurpose lobby.
6. San Carlos Park Cemetery: This cemetery is one of the oldest in the area, having been established in 1839. It is home to the graves of many of the original settlers of the area, including soldiers who served in the Second Seminole War, and features a Veterans Memorial.
